Motor Car vs Body

Motor Car vs Body

This refers not to the horrific results of a physical clash between the two, which the body never wins, but rather, how differently their owners treat the two - and even then, the body seldom wins.
Let us suppose that you own the sort of car pictured above. It is, for the curious or unaware, a Lamborghini Diablo GT, priced at about $US 180,000. Now, you might not even want one, but let us say someone gave to you one. Yes, gave it to you! Just like your body - priceless, but it was free too!
You didn´t ask for a body either, but you've got one anyway.

And suppose that you knew, that no matter what, you could never get another Lamborghini Diablo GT. Irreplaceable, just like your body, right?

The best fuel available is quite expensive compared to the worst, but you know you wouldn't put poor quality fuel in this vehicle, don't you? Something worth this much money has to run as smoothly as possible, for as long as it can be maintained. Just like your body...Oh.... wait on, perhaps not. What kind of fuel are you putting in your body? Does it contain too much sugar, trans fats, acid, and not enough greens, alkalines and enzymes?

Anyway, you can be sure you won´t take this beautiful vehicle into environments which will harm it, like sea water or sand, or bush tracks, it´s too sensitive in its component systems and bodywork to stand up to unnecessary punishment. Just like your body - Ahh, well... maybe not, again. Of course, you do want to stop smoking one day, and you will cut down on the drink soon...and you will try to get more regular sleep, and you will try to get more regular sleep, and you will remember to avoid too much sun exposure. Of course you will, you know your body can´t take it for too long. Of course you know.

The Manufacturer recommends spending money on this car to keep it in correct balance, with regular replacement of essential oils, water and lubrication. They will tell you that if you don´t look after it properly, it will fail you when you need it most, and you will lose the pleasure of its company years before you need to.
Even if your car is inexpensive you still have to spend maintenance money on it, put in good quality fuel, and drive it carefully so it lasts as long as possible. Yet how many of us treat our bodies with the same common-sense care. And thought for the future? Remember, in both cases, the cost of maintenance is far less than the cost of repair.
Think about it - if you don't look after your body, where else are you going to live?
